Kate Harris
Kate lives in the rolling hills of South Devon, close to the coast and Dartmoor. Born in Cornwall, next to the sea, nature inspires her art and writing.
She has created a Treasury of art, poetry and prose, held metaphorically within the life cycle of birds. Their migrations, nest building, gathering, soaring and nurturing are connected to Kate’s own story. Grown from her own transitions, joys and sorrows. She writes from the heart and from a place of compassion, to illustrate her transformative journey.
As a Creative, she embraces all forms of expression. As an Occupational Therapist within the mental health service, she encouraged clients’ self expression and growth within inpatient and community mental health teams for many years.
With a vast variety of experience both personal and professional. Kate has combined this into a book of hope and inspiration, Fly Home to your Heart, for anyone feeling stuck, losing hope or needing to make changes in their lives.
Kate is an experienced Life Coach and offers private individual sessions, specialising in self esteem and recovery.
